Almost Wordless Wednesday

Today was one of those days that could have gone either way I had an equal balance of frustrating to good moments so instead of letting myself be sucked into a crappy mood I decided to focus on the things that made me smile and here are a couple of 'em.

Today I found a smile in the mail...(love new running gear review to come soon)

I also found a smile in the garden... (it was fun to let the girls get involved and plant a couple seedlings)

What Iphone App I'm digging this week:

The Allrecipes.com App. A convenient way to look up recipes, the app even has a feature called the dinner spinner where you pick an ingredient, amount of time you have to spend, and what type of dish your looking for and it will find recipes that match your criteria. The basic app is free or you can purchase the Pro version for 2.99 (the pro version allows to create shopping lists, save your favorite recipes and gives you access to all their recipes.)

Cool Iphone App Alert!!

The RunKeeper Pro app which I think is a great app that I use to track my runs (since I am not a proud owner of a garmin). it keeps time, pace and maps your routes and the best part is the app was 9.99 but now is a free app so there is nothing to lose to check it out.

Three Things Thursday (While I was Gone)

During my unwanted blog hiatus I....


1) ....had a few days of doubt about if I really wanted to train for and complete the RnR San Diego this year (most of these days where after hours of unpacking and organizing my house when I didn't think I would ever get back to running) so I went on ahead and registered for the race so I am officially signed up. I figure nothing would keep me motivated more than a $105 registration fee.

2.) ...got this years gardens set up and my seeds started inside.


3) ...had ample time and opportunity deepen my addiction to Words With Friends (I keep an average of 12 games going at all times which means I have 8 slots open so if your interested in playing let me know)

Almost Wordless Wednesday- My Early Valentine's

Oh Valentine's Day, a day outside of buying the girls valentine's to pass out at school I tend to let pass like any other day, but to my surprise my husband actually wanted to get me something this year. So what is a husband to get a wife that dislikes flowers (it's mainly the smell i don't like) and would more than likely rip him a new one for bringing candy that she would have to eat (I mean it is dang near sacrilegious to let good perfectly good candy go uneaten) even though her New Year's resolution includes eating healthier......why a composter of course

and I couldn't be happier, I have been hinting around to wanting a composter since the end of last year so I guess he finally got the hint. Nothing says I love you like a piece of plastic designed to turn waste into fertilizer.

That is the truth and my test of patience waiting on my Internet is finally over..I am officially back online yay! I am so far behind in the blogworld I don't know what I am going to do..hopefully i will be spending sometime today and tomorrow catching up a bit on your blogs and I am kind of excited about that I will probably bombard you all with posts until I get it out of my system it's been a few weeks since I have been able to ramble on aimlessly on my blog. :) I have to be honest not having the Internet was probably a good thing because unpacking was not fun and if I would have had the option of distracting myself online we would probably still be living out of boxes. Well it's good to be back on now I am off to see what you all have been up to.
